1. Introduction

1.1. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CorroZone platform ("Platform"), including all associated websites, applications, application programming interfaces, and services provided through the Platform.

1.2. The Platform is operated by Corrozone LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15188319, with its registered office at Harry Sager & Co Ltd 249 North, Lynnfield House, Church Street, Altrincham, England, WA14 4DZ ("Corrozone", "we", "us", or "our").

1.3. The Platform provides AI-driven solutions for corrosion challenges, including tools and services for corporate clients (bespoke AI builds, scoped pilots, training engagements) and a curated set of products for individual users (currently lead product: EIS Fitting), as well as public educational content (courses).

1.4. By creating an Account or using the Platform, you ("you", "your", or "User") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

1.5. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Corrozone. Please read them carefully.

2. Definitions

2.1. In these Terms, the following definitions apply:

  • "Account" means a registered user account on the Platform, created through Firebase Authentication using either email and password credentials or Google authentication.
  • "Billing Cycle" means the recurring monthly period during which a Subscription is active, commencing on the date of the initial Subscription payment and renewing on approximately the same date each subsequent month.
  • "Content" means all text, data, information, images, audio, video, software, code, and other materials available on or through the Platform, including course materials, AI-generated outputs, and educational resources, but excluding User Content.
  • "Credit Pack" means a one-time purchase of a specified quantity of Credits, as described in Section 5.
  • "Credits" means the unit of value used on the Platform to access billable operations. Credits have no cash value except as expressly provided in these Terms and the Refund Policy.
  • "Free Tier" means the Plan available at no cost, which provides limited Credits and resource allocations as described in Section 5.

  • "Plan" means the tier of service to which a User is subscribed.
  • "Purchased Credits" means Credits acquired through the purchase of a Credit Pack, which persist across Billing Cycles.
  • "Subscription" means a recurring monthly arrangement under which a User pays a fee to access a paid Plan and receives a Monthly Allowance of Credits.
  • "User Content" means any data, text, files, documents, or other materials that a User inputs, uploads, creates, or submits to the Platform.

3. Account Creation and Eligibility

3.1. To use the Platform, you must create an Account. Account registration is facilitated through Firebase Authentication; you may register using either an email address and password, or Google single sign-on.

3.2. You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to create an Account. By creating an Account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.

3.3. Each individual may create and maintain only one Account. The creation of multiple Accounts by the same individual is strictly prohibited and constitutes a breach of these Terms.

3.4. If you register using an email address and password, you must verify your email address by clicking the verification link sent during registration. Certain features and your initial credit allocation are not available until email verification is complete.

3.5. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Account credentials and for all activities that occur under your Account. You must notify us immediately at the contact address provided in Section 11 if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your Account.

4. The Credit System

4.1. Single Credit Pool. The Platform operates a single credit pool system. Each User has a single credit balance. All Credits, regardless of their origin (Monthly Allowance or Purchased Credits), are fungible at the point of expenditure.

4.2. Monthly Allowance Credits. If you hold a paid Subscription, you receive a Monthly Allowance of Credits at the start of each Billing Cycle. Monthly Allowance Credits that remain unused at the end of a Billing Cycle are discarded and do not roll over.

4.3. Purchased Credits. Credits acquired through Credit Packs persist indefinitely across Billing Cycles and remain in your Account until they are used or until your Account is terminated.

4.4. No Monetary Value. Credits have no monetary or cash value and do not constitute currency, stored value, or a financial instrument, except as expressly provided in the Refund Policy. Credits may not be redeemed for cash, bartered, sold, or exchanged for anything of value outside the Platform.

4.5. Non-Transferable. Credits are personal to the Account holder and may not be transferred, assigned, gifted, or otherwise conveyed to any other person or Account.

5. Subscriptions and Payment

5.1. The Platform offers Free Tier and paid Subscription Plans. Display names, Monthly Allowance amounts, and pricing are as published on the Platform's pricing page.

5.2. Auto-Renewal. All paid Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each Billing Cycle unless cancelled in accordance with Section 8.

5.3. Payment Processing. All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Corrozone does not directly store, process, or have access to your full payment card details.

6. Acceptable Use

6.1. You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes. You must not use the Platform to:

  • Generate, disseminate, or store unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable content
  • Generate content that promotes discrimination, hatred, or violence
  • Infringe intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other rights of any third party
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with the credit system
  • Create multiple Accounts to obtain additional free Credits
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute access to the Platform without prior written consent
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or other automated means to access or interact with the Platform

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

7.1. The Platform utilises artificial intelligence to generate analyses, content, and responses. All AI-generated outputs are provided on an "as is" basis and are intended for educational, exploratory, and decision-support purposes.

7.2. No Warranty of Accuracy. We do not warrant that AI-generated output is accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. AI models may produce outputs that contain factual inaccuracies, omissions, or biases.

7.3. Not Professional Advice. AI-generated outputs do not constitute professional, engineering, scientific, legal, financial, or medical advice. You should not rely on AI-generated outputs as a substitute for professional judgement, independent verification, or consultation with qualified professionals.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1. Platform Ownership. The Platform, including all software, code, design, text, graphics, logos, trademarks, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to Corrozone and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

By submitting User Content to the Platform, you grant Corrozone a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Platform's services to you.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1. Cap on Liability. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the total aggregate liability of Corrozone arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to Corrozone in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the liability.

9.2. Exclusion of Indirect Damages. Corrozone shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

9.3. Exceptions. Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit our liability for (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (c) any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by the laws of England and Wales.

10. Cancellation and Refunds

10.1. Statutory Cooling-Off Period. If you are a consumer resident in the United Kingdom or European Union, you have the right to cancel your purchase of Credits or Subscription within fourteen (14) days of the date of purchase (the "Cooling-Off Period") without giving any reason.

10.2. Immediate Performance. You acknowledge and agree that if you begin using the Platform's paid services (including consuming Credits or accessing paid features) before the expiration of the Cooling-Off Period, you will lose your right to cancel. This is confirmed at checkout.

10.3. Digital Content Exception. You acknowledge that Credits are digital content supplied for immediate consumption and that you will lose the right to cancel once you begin using them, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

10.4. Subscription Cancellation. You may cancel your Subscription at any time by accessing your account settings or contacting us. Your Subscription will remain active until the end of the current Billing Cycle. You will not be charged for subsequent Billing Cycles. Any unused Monthly Allowance Credits will be forfeited at the end of the Billing Cycle. Purchased Credits will remain in your account until used.

10.5. Refund detail. Full refund calculation methodology (pro-rated unused-credit refunds, pro-rated mid-cycle subscription refunds, dispute procedure, processing fees) is set out in our separate Refund Policy.
